I love Turkish people, Turkish cuisine and of course the nice weather. I have been to Turkey before – in 2005 I visited Istanbul for the first time and instantly fell in love with this beautiful city, but never really had the chance to go back. As you can imagine, I was super stoked, when my boss asked me to do a job in Antalya! We arrived early afternoon in a charming hotel, the Ali Bey Club Manavgat. Yigit, the guy who showed us around during the whole trip, was great company and we had lots of fun. Actually we ended up dancing half night long the night we arrived. It was late april and also my birthday. The funny thing is, that it’s also a holiday in Turkey – Kids day. For a short moment I thought about moving to Turkey to always have my birthday off. Yigit managed to organize a cake and the hotel staff sang a birthday song for me, which was cute! We interviewed some of the hotels guest relations managers and they were all so friendly and warm hearted and made my stay beautiful.
In the picture, you can see Zeliha. She’s the guest relations manager of the Royal Dragon Hotel in Side and a lovely and funny person. I can highly recommend a stay at this hotel, if you have plans in visiting Side. Also, check out the historic Side. I didn’t have much time out there, but it’s worth seeing. But please don’t expect just a nice small town. There are a lot of hotels and they’re building even more. So, go there in april or may short time before the season starts and you’ll be fine!
